Disaster Spirit

I was requested to design a few monsters for a children's safety booklet. Since the booklet was separated into three sections (natural disasters, social security and health issues) I figure it would be interesting to associate a color scheme to each section and each section would have around three monsters involved.

So here is one for natural disasters (associated with the color green... gee I wonder why = u = ) This one here is called a Disaster Spirit.

It usually appears before a very great natural disaster. Capable of flying and jumping great hights, it can go almost anywhere it wishes. However its small size makes it vulnerable to very strong wind.

Each Disaster spirits chooses a host family and usualy pays a visit from time to time, bringing news and stories encountered on their journeys. There is no explanation to why or even how these creatures make their choices. Research on this subject is still under way.

Sadly, due to their extreme small size (about the size of your palm) many Disaster Spirits encounter great difficulty in returning to their host family. A mild strong wind can easily blow these creatures in all directions. Recent studies found that there are new emerging NGOs attempting to help Disaster Spirits find back their home. However their attempts seem to piss off most of these spirits because apparantly to Disaster spirits, finding their way home by them selves is a heavy issue in regards to their pride.
